Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Scrum Master / Sr. Software Developer to support a federal technology and defense contractor delivering mission-critical software for government agencies. The role splits between hands-on Java development and SAFe Agile leadership in a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities include leading SAFe ceremonies, mentoring engineers, driving CI/CD, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure on-time program delivery in a security-conscious environment.

Formación

• Experience must include a Bachelor's with 8 years or a Master's with 6 years; degree equivalence accepted.
• Java: 5+ years designing, developing, testing, and reviewing production applications.
• Scrum Master: 2+ years as Scrum Master on a SAFe Agile team within a large-scale software development environment.
• Spring: Significant hands-on Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Spring Security experience.
• Microservices/APIs: Design and implementation of microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Frontend: React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Testing: JUnit, Mockito, or equivalent unit testing frameworks.
• Linux & Git: Significant experience with both.
• DevOps: CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, debug, deploy, and maintain production Java applications and cloud-native microservices.
• Contribute to architecture, technical design, code reviews, and automated testing.
• Support integration with legacy air traffic systems and new platform components.
• Troubleshoot development, testing, and production issues.
• Utilize CI/CD, DevSecOps, and AI-assisted development tools.
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain code quality standards.
• Lead SAFe Agile ceremonies, including PI planning, sprint planning, backlog refinement, system demos, and inspect-and-adapt workshops.
• Remove impediments and drive continuous improvement.
• Track velocity, flow metrics, sprint progress, and PI objectives.
• Coordinate with Release Train Engineers, Product Owners, management, and stakeholders.
• Manage cross-team/ART dependencies, risks, and blockers.
• Drive predictable sprint execution and program delivery.
