Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Developer – Scrum Master for a Hybrid position (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) in Gaithersburg, MD; Eagan, MN; or Egg Harbor Township, NJ.

The Senior Software Developer – Scrum Master will split responsibilities between hands-on software engineering and Agile team leadership, contributing to cloud-native solutions within a SAFe Agile environment supporting next-generation automation capabilities.

Formación

• 8+ years of relevant software development experience or 6+ with a Master's.
• Experience as Scrum Master on a SAFe Agile team.
• Designing microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Strong Java, Spring, and DevOps tooling experience.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, review, deploy, and maintain Java-based cloud-native microservices.
• Serve as Scrum Master for an Agile development team and facilitate ceremonies.
• Coordinate with Product Owners, Release Train Engineers, and stakeholders.
• Leverage DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and AI-assisted development.
• Mentor engineers and promote Agile engineering best practices.

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Developer – Scrum Master for a Hybrid position (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) in Gaithersburg, MD; Eagan, MN; or Egg Harbor Township, NJ. The Senior Software Developer – Scrum Master will split responsibilities between hands-on software engineering and Agile team leadership, contributing to the delivery of cloud-native solutions within a SAFe Agile environment supporting next-generation automation capabilities.

Responsibilities of the Senior Software Developer – Scrum Master Include:

• Design, develop, test, review, deploy, and maintain production-grade Java-based cloud-native microservices while contributing to software architecture and technical design decisions.
• Serve as Scrum Master for an Agile development team by facilitating ceremonies, removing impediments, driving continuous improvement, and supporting successful sprint and program increment execution.
• Coordinate with Product Owners, Release Train Engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to communicate status, manage dependencies, mitigate risks, and support delivery objectives.
• Leverage DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and AI-assisted development tools to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions.
• Mentor engineers and support troubleshooting across development, test, and production environments while promoting Agile and engineering best practices.

Qualifications of the Senior Software Developer – Scrum Master Include:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
• 2+ years of experience serving as a Scrum Master on a SAFe Agile team within a large-scale software development environment.
• Experience designing and implementing microservices and RESTful APIs utilizing JSON, XML, and XSD.
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Significant experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Linux, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be able to pass a government background check with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust US government clearance

Compensation for the Senior Software Developer – Scrum Master Includes:

• Salary range: $150,000 - $170,000
• Comprehensive Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays
