Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Senior Java Developer in Bethesda, MD to build and modernize the systems that support medical device review for a federal public health agency. You will apply 8+ years of software development experience and 6+ years in Java with Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, or RESTful services, while leveraging AI-IDE tools and modern JS

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• 6+ years of Java, including Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, or RESTful services.
• 3+ years with a modern JS framework (React/Vue/Angular).
• Experience using an AI-IDE like Claude Code or Cursor.
• Experience with SQL design and optimization (Oracle/PostgreSQL).
• Experience with legacy Java technologies (J2EE/JSP/Servlets) and migration strategies.
• Experience providing production support and issue resolution.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, AWS or Azure and DevOps tools (Git, CI/CD, Jenkins).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.
