Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Sr. Java Developer with IES experience to join our client-facing team on a 6+ month contract. You will develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise web applications using Java/J2EE, perform hands-on coding, and implement batch jobs and web services.

Strong SQL skills with DB2/Oracle and WebSphere on SUSE Linux/VMware environments are valued. The role requires 3+ years of Java development experience, knowledge of MVC architecture and design patterns, and

Qualifications

3+ years of development experience with Java 6.0 and J2EE components (JSP, EJBs, JDBC).
Experience with IDEs, preferably RAD 7.5 or above.
Strong knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design.
Experience with design patterns (Singleton, Factory, DAO).
Good understanding of MVC architecture and batch jobs/web services.
Experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server 8.0 and DB2/Oracle databases.
Proficiency in writing complex SQL and troubleshooting.
Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise web applications using Java/J2EE.
Perform hands-on Java coding and development.
Develop and maintain components using JSP, EJBs, JDBC, JavaScript, and tag libraries.
Design and develop batch jobs and web services.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries for DB2/Oracle.
Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis.
Apply OO design principles and patterns; work in MVC architectures.
Support testing, deployment, and production issue resolution.
