Job summary

TALENT Software Services seeks an experienced Java/J2EE developer to support the eXPRS application for Oregon ODDS/ODHS. The role involves bug remediation, backlog item completion, and functional design documentation in a Scrum environment.

The candidate will work with ODHS business and technical stakeholders, participate in sprint planning, and ensure timely deliverables while following established development standards and Azure DevOps processes.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience with J2EE and Java applications.
• 10 years of experience with IBM DB2 UDB and Oracle databases.
• 10 years of Java and Eclipse experience.
• State government project experience within last five years.

Responsibilities

• Document enhancements and maintain system documentation for eXPRS.
• Handle defect and change requests impacting the eXPRS application.
• Participate in daily Scrum meetings and coordinate with ODHS business/product owners.
• Document technical design and system dependencies with architects and managers.
• Provide weekly sprint status reports and demonstrate working prototypes every 1–2 weeks.
• Adhere to Azure DevOps and Agile Scrum processes for development and tracking.
