Base-2 Solutions in Annapolis, MD seeks a Senior Java Developer to modernize a critical government information system. The role centers on enterprise Java development, secure upgrades, and coordinating with security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to minimize downtime, ensure compliance, and deliver robust, maintainable code across the full technology stack.

You will upgrade Solr clusters with ZooKeeper, manage Tomcat deployments, integrate with Oracle 19c, Directory Studio, and SAP

Qualifications

• Expertise in enterprise Java for Windows-based VMware environments.
• Strong Python development skills.
• Proficient with Solr with ZooKeeper upgrades and migrations.
• Experience with Tomcat and Directory Studio.
• Experience with Oracle 19c integration.
• Familiar with SAP BI reporting frameworks.
• Knowledge of secure coding for government systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute upgrades for enterprise Java apps in secure gov environments.
• Develop Java/Python components on Windows VMware infrastructure.
• Modernize legacy code to current standards.
• Implement secure coding practices per government requirements.
• Upgrade Solr clusters with ZooKeeper coordination.
• Migrate and optimize Solr index data during upgrades.
• Manage Tomcat configurations and deployments.
• Integrate applications with Oracle 19c databases.
