Job summary

B4Corp is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join a large, mission-focused team in Chantilly, VA. The role requires TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph and involves designing scalable, low-latency backend systems using Java, Springboot, and AWS.

You will collaborate with product owners, analysts, and cloud engineers to deliver features in an agile, 3-week sprint cycle. The team develops new applications and enhances legacy ones, with on-call after-hours responsibilities and a strong emphasis

Qualifications

• BS degree and 6-10 years of relevant experience
• Experience creating applications with Java, Springboot, and Amazon Web Services for backend components, focusing on low-latency, high-throughput distributed systems
• Experience working with product owners, business analysts, and other teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Experience decomposing complex software systems for scalability, testability, and performance
• Experience writing custom scripts to install and configure code in EC2 instances
• Experience using Git, Jenkins, and Rundeck
• Experience creating RESTful API
• Experience using Scrum agile framework
• Experience handling XML, JSON and YAML formats

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with a team of developers and cloud engineers
• Analyze and decompose complex software systems for scalability, testability, and performance
• Participate in Scrum planning and backlog grooming to deliver incremental enhancements
• Work on on-call rotations for after-hours support approximately one week every three months
• Collaborate with product owners and analysts to ensure timely, secure delivery of features
