Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Java Cloud Engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable analytics and enterprise applications on modern cloud platforms. You will collaborate with product managers, tech leads, architects, and stakeholders to deliver cloud-native solutions that drive business outcomes.

The role requires 9+ years in Java, Spring, cloud experience (Azure/GCP/AWS), Kafka, CI/CD, containers, and Kubernetes, with hybrid work in Sunnyvale, CA.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of Java development experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience with Kafka and event streaming technologies.
• Experience designing large-scale distributed applications.
• CI/CD pipelines, containers, and Kubernetes in Agile delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable analytics and enterprise application solutions using Java technologies and cloud platforms.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, provide technical recommendations, and lead solution discussions.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable code following industry best practices, coding standards, and automated testing requirements.
• Build, test, and deploy cloud-native applications while ensuring reliability, performance, and production readiness.
• Define application architecture, monitoring, and technical documentation while mentoring and supporting development teams.
