Job summary

Citi is seeking a senior Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst in Jersey City, NJ. You will lead design, development, and implementation of complex application systems, collaborating with the Technology team to meet strategic goals.

You will guide mid-level staff, ensure architectural alignment, and drive robust, scalable solutions using microservices, REST/SOAP and event-driven patterns in a cloud-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• At least 6–10 years of hands-on application development experience.
• Strong experience in Core Java 11/17 and J2EE.
• Solid understanding of Microservices architecture (Spring Boot).
• Expertise in REST/SOAP, design patterns, concurrency, Kafka and data structures.
• Expert SQL skills.
• Basic Python knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.
• Define and implement system enhancements with architecture alignment.
• Provide advanced expertise in applications programming and design adherence to blueprint.
• Develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and deployment.
• Coach mid-level developers and analysts; allocate work.
