The role focuses on architecting and building REST endpoints, improving performance, refactoring legacy code, and ensuring strong test coverage across services. Collaboration across teams and a proactive approach are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building server-side applications in Java
• Spring Boot experience for building and maintaining services
• REST API development with integration to legacy services
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures
• Unit testing with a test-driven mindset
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and build pipelines
• Performance analysis and optimization for backend services
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate ownership

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop Backend-for-Frontend API layer used by mobile apps
• Build REST endpoints and service contracts enabling mobile journeys
• Improve performance via profiling and targeted optimizations
• Refactor legacy code for maintainability and readability
• Produce clean, testable code with strong unit tests
• Integrate with existing backend services and manage dependencies
• Support CI workflows and development tooling
• Design APIs with focus on user experience and data modeling
