Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks an experienced Senior Java Developer (SAP BTP/CAP) to lead multiple high-impact services within the SAP Business Network. You will guide the design and implementation from ideation to deployment, ensuring scalable, clean code and timely delivery.

You will collaborate with an Architect and Product Manager to translate complex roadmap features into modular designs, and mentor the team in best practices for API-first development and cloud-native deployments.

Qualifications

7+ years of hands-on software development experience.
Strong backend Java development skills and RESTful API design.
Experience with SAP BTP/CAP, Fiori-based development (SAPUI5, OData, CAP CDS).
Hands-on with API-first design and middleware/DevOps tooling.
Solid understanding of software design patterns, enterprise architecture, and SQL.

Responsibilities

Lead backend development with Java, REST/CXF, Spring Boot, CAP, and SQL.
Drive design reviews, code reviews, and testing plans; ensure on-time delivery.
Collaborate with Team Architect and Product Manager to translate roadmap features into modular designs.
Implement automated tests and maintain code quality across services.
