Job summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in McLean, VA to design, build, and support scalable multifamily platform services. You will work hands-on across Java-based microservices, event-driven systems, APIs, MongoDB, AMQ, Kubernetes, AWS, and CI/CD automation to deliver secure, observable backend capabilities.

The role emphasizes production-grade engineering with focus on security, performance, and scalability, including debugging and monitoring.

Qualifications

• 7–8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs & Microservices.
• Extensive AWS experience with cloud-native, event-driven distributed systems.
• MongoDB + SQL/relational databases.
• AMQ / messaging platforms and asynchronous/event-driven architecture.
• CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Hands-on use of AI tools/practices for software engineering.
• Strong backend/API design, data modeling, security, performance & scalability experience.
• Production support, debugging, monitoring, logging and root-cause analysis.
• Mortgage/financial services experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
