Machine Learning Technologies LLC is seeking a Java Backend Developer with AWS expertise in Chicago. This hybrid, 12-month+ extension role focuses on building scalable microservices, RESTful APIs, and robust cloud architectures using Java 17+, Spring Boot, Python, and AWS services.

You will drive resiliency, observability, and CI/CD automation while mentoring junior engineers and upholding testing standards. A strong foundation in relational databases and AWS tooling is required.

Competenze

• 7+ years of professional backend experience with distributed, high-availability systems.
• Proficiency in Java (17+), Spring Boot, and Python.
• Extensive AWS experience across ECS/Fargate, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch.
• Strong PostgreSQL / Aurora PostgreSQL design and query tuning.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, and CloudFormation.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.

Mansioni

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain scalable microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Ensure resiliency with multi-AZ/Region architectures and DR planning.
• Perform production RCAs and observability via CloudWatch.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, and IaC.
• Model data and optimize queries in Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Mentor junior developers and enforce testing standards (JUnit,Mockito).
