Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend software engineering experience building and supporting distributed, high-availability production systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain scalable microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architectures using Java 17+ and AWS services.
• Architect fault-tolerant, high-availability solutions across AWS AZs and regions with failover testing.
• Investigate complex production incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and enhance observability with CloudWatch.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, and CloudFormation IaC.
• Model relational data and optimize queries on PostgreSQL/Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Provide mentorship, conduct peer reviews, and enforce automated testing (JUnit, Mockito).
