Job summary

NinjaOne is seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer to design and scale backend services powering real-time vulnerability detection and remediation across millions of endpoints. You will work at the intersection of security data, high-throughput distributed systems, and AI-assisted risk prioritization in a high-impact, high-visibility role.

We value a Bachelor’s in CS/CE with 10+ years in Java, plus 4+ years in scalable systems. Kotlin expertise and REST API design are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years Java backend development experience.
• 4+ years experience building highly scalable systems.
• Experience with Kotlin is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of API design and REST services.
• Experience with distributed data stores and caching.

Responsibilities

• Design and scale backend services powering vulnerability detection and remediation workflows.
• Collaborate with product and detection teams to improve MTTR.
• Write high-availability, mission-critical software for millions of endpoints.
