Citi is seeking a highly skilled Senior Back-end Java Developer for Trading Platforms in Jersey City. You will design, build, and sustain scalable, high-performance software solutions in a back-office trading context.

Expect to own trunk-based development, automated testing, and secure coding practices while collaborating with architects and product teams to deliver low-latency, reliable systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Strong hands-on coding in Kotlin, Java, and Python for enterprise-grade applications.
• Deep expertise in microservices, Spring Boot, and low-latency distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-office trading applications.
• Implement trunk-based development, feature flags, and progressive delivery.
• Apply TDD and BDD to ensure high test coverage and reliability.
• Drive CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to improve deployment velocity.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
