Job summary

TechTriad is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team building cloud-native systems for real-time payment processing. You will be a hands-on Java engineer with strong AWS, Spring Boot, microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.

The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise applications, building APIs and distributed services on AWS, and driving CI/CD pipelines with Terraform. Travel up to 10% between NYC and NC offices may be required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Java software development experience.
• Strong Spring / Spring Boot experience.
• Expertise in microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS.
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or event-driven architectures.
• Working knowledge of Python.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong understanding of scalability, availability, security, and resiliency.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel up to 10% between NYC and NC offices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain highly reliable enterprise applications.
• Build cloud-native applications using Java, Spring & Spring Boot.
• Develop microservices, APIs, and distributed applications on AWS.
• Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
• Work with containerized and serverless AWS services.
• Develop Python scripts for automation and data integration.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing processes.
• Implement Terraform / Infrastructure as Code for cloud deployments.
• Support observability, monitoring, resiliency, and production troubleshooting.
• Participate in architecture, design, code reviews, and technical decisions.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
