Job summary

OCC’s Automation Testing Framework team seeks an Associate Principal to lead the design, development and evolution of a critical automation framework supporting risk technology systems. You will own complex technical deliverables end to end, mentor engineers, and partner with testing teams, architects and business stakeholders.

You will drive security integration with SonarQube, Snyk, Veracode and Black Duck, and advance CI/CD automation using Jenkins, Docker, Harness, and Rancher.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with production systems.
• Experience with distributed computing frameworks and designing for scale.
• Strong API development, SQL databases and data storage know-how.
• CI/CD, DevOps tools, Git, and test automation experience.
• Deep understanding of OOP, microservices, REST APIs, and Java 8+ features.
• Experience leading Agile delivery artefacts and cross-team communication.
• Strong curiosity, fast learning, and mentoring ability.

Responsibilities

• Design and write clean, maintainable Java code for the automation framework.
• Lead design, development, and enhancement of framework features.
• Drive code reviews and engineering standards, improve pipelines and delivery practices.
• Champion secure software delivery with security tooling and remediation.
• Own and improve CI/CD automation using Jenkins and container tech.
• Provide escalation support for testing teams and resolve complex issues.
• Lead architecture discussions and evaluate technical options for the framework.
• Mentor Associates and engineers in an agile environment.
