Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Automation Tester in Java to safeguard quality, reliability, and performance across the development lifecycle. You will collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams to advance automation initiatives and strengthen testing practices.

Responsibilities include drafting test cases, building automated suites for regression, functional, and smoke tests, and embedding tests into the DevOps pipeline to enable continuous quality assurance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
3+ years of QA with test automation or a mix of development and testing experience.
Experience with REST and SOAP API testing; SOAPUI & Groovy scripting.

Responsibilities

Draft functional, integration, and acceptance test cases to confirm system behavior.
Develop automated test cases covering regression, functional, and smoke testing.
Plan and execute automation activities while ensuring testing standards are followed within the team.
Embed test cycles into the DevOps pipeline to enable continuous quality assurance.
Use creative and efficient approaches to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
Automate testing for back-end services such as REST APIs along with front-end components.
Record and report defects clearly to enable effective issue tracking.
Handle test data and test environments to ensure reliable test execution.
Manage test script version control to keep code integrity across releases.
