Job summary

Mindlance is seeking a senior systems analyst in the Buffalo, NY area to design and direct complex information systems efforts. You will act as a principal designer for critical components, working with development, operations and technology staff to align solutions with business goals.

The role requires leadership of teams, mentoring of junior staff, and strong analytical and communication skills to navigate highly interrelated applications and platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associates degree and 6 years systems analysis/application development experience, or 8 years combined education/work experience.
• Familiar with application development software and hardware platforms.
• Proficiency with personal computers and standard office software.
• Capable of handling multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience mentoring and leading project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the most complex systems analysis, design and development efforts.
• Direct and monitor less experienced resources and coordinate development tasks.
• Collaborate with development, operations and technology staff on system directions and testing.
• Prepare and review detailed test plans and data; debug as needed.
• Understand complex interrelationships among programs and interfaces.
• Produce clear technical specifications and update documentation.
