Job summary

Hyphen Solutions is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to design, develop, and modernize scalable enterprise applications and cloud-native platforms. You will provide technical leadership across architecture, software development, and system integration while contributing hands-on code.

You will drive engineering standards, microservices adoption, cloud strategy, DevOps practices, and AI-enabled development initiatives to deliver secure, high-performance, and maintainable solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Java development experience with architectural responsibilities.
• Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC and Spring Security.
• Experience with Spring Cloud is a plus
• Expertise with JDBC-based data access
• Experience with caching strategies (distributed + local fallback)
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems
• Strong experience with REST APIs and integrations
• Strong MySQL/Aurora SQL skills
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD tools
• Strong understanding of system performance and scalability

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise Java architectures and contribute directly to coding
• Lead the development of scalable, cloud-native applications
• Create prototypes and reference implementations for architecture validation
• Contribute production code for complex features and integrations
• Define and enforce architecture and coding standards
• Document architectural decisions and system interactions
• Lead code and design reviews
• Build microservices and distributed systems
• Design APIs and integration patterns
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams
• Troubleshoot complex production issues
• Drive CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices
• Mentor engineers through hands-on guidance
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies, including AI tools
