Job summary

NTT DATA seeks a Solution Architect (Java, Cloud & AI) to design and lead scalable, secure enterprise applications in a hybrid Dallas environment. You will drive cloud-native modernization across AWS/Azure/GCP, implement AI-enabled capabilities, and mentor engineering teams.

The ideal candidate brings 12+ years in software architecture, 5+ years in enterprise-scale designs, and a strong background in Java, cloud services, and AI platforms.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering, architecture, or solution architecture experience including 5+ years in enterprise-scale designs.
• 8+ years with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and enterprise integration patterns.
• 4+ years delivering solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud with cloud-native services.
• 3+ years working with Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps.
• 2+ years designing or integrating AI solutions using LLMs, generative AI, AI agents, RAG, embeddings, or vector databases.
• Strong experience with Kafka or other messaging platforms, API gateways, relational and NoSQL databases, caching, event-driven architecture.
• Experience with AI platforms/frameworks such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Bedrock, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, IAM, encryption, and RBAC.
• Ability to articulate complex architecture to technical and non-technical stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel for hybrid work model.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architecture for scalable, secure enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, APIs, and event-driven patterns.
• Lead cloud-native modernization and migration initiatives across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud with containerization and platform transformation.
• Define blueprints, integration patterns, data flows, non-functional requirements, and architecture standards per security guidelines.
• Architect and integrate AI-enabled capabilities including generative AI, AI agents, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Evaluate cloud services and AI models; select frameworks based on scalability, latency, security, cost, and business needs.
• Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, enterprise architects, developers, data teams, DevOps, and cybersecurity teams throughout delivery.
• Provide technical leadership through design/code reviews, PoCs, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and mentoring.
• Ensure solutions meet security, privacy, responsible AI, observability, high availability, DR, and regulatory compliance.
• Define CI/CD, IaC, deployment, monitoring, and production support for cloud-based Java and AI apps.
• Assist with estimations, proposals, architecture presentations, vendor evaluations, risk ID, and delivery planning.
