Job summary

Rose International is seeking a full-time senior Java developer (IT Analyst) to design and build Java applications and web services for the Division of Population Health Informatics Program. The assignment runs from December 1, 2026 through December 1, 2027, with potential extension based on funding and project needs.

You will collaborate with engineers and SMEs to replace legacy systems and deliver new capabilities.

Qualifications

15 years of experience with Java Core, Java EE (JEE), JPA, and JPQL.
5 years of experience with Java Server Faces (JSF) / PrimeFaces.
10 years of experience with PostgreSQL SQL and PL/pgSQL.
5 years of experience in Cloud / AWS.
5 years of experience with Java RESTful web services.
Knowledge of WCAG compatibility.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop Java applications and web services, including replacements for legacy apps.
Update existing Java web applications to maintain functionality and add enhancements.
Build web applications using Java web frameworks, preferring EJB and JSF.
Develop web applications and APIs using PostgreSQL for data storage and queries.
Implement authentication for external users using OAuth2 or OpenAM.
Aim for CI/CD pipelines in AWS.
