Job summary

FastTek Global is seeking a Software Engineer in Dearborn, MI to join our propulsion-focused CAD/CAE software team. This role requires strong OO design, Java and Angular skills, and experience building scalable microservices and REST APIs.

You will work with cross-functional teams, drive testing strategies, and contribute to CI/CD and security practices while exploring new technologies to enhance performance and user experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing scalable Java full-stack web applications.
• Hands-on with Angular front-end and RESTful API integration.
• Experience with GCP services and relational databases.
• Proficient in Agile development and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand use-cases and translate them into software solutions.
• Design, develop, and test components using various tools and technologies.
• Define test strategies and ensure CI/CD practices are followed.
• Collaborate with product, design, and architecture teams.
• Improve performance and scalability of CAD/CAE apps.
• Ensure security considerations, data protection, and code quality.
• Maintain APIs and microservices, and review emerging tech.
• Foster cross-functional teamwork and effective communication.
