Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience using Java full-stack to design scalable web apps with microservices.
• 3+ years of Angular experience for real-time UI updates.
• 5+ years of SQL/Oracle or PostgreSQL database experience.
• GCP development and deployment (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, GCS).
• Experience with test-driven development and GitHub-based workflows.

Software Engineer

Need a software engineer to work on propulsion in‑house developed apps in the CAD/CAE domain. Candidates should have knowledge of OOP concepts, Java/Angular programming, and automation testing. The role involves understanding requirements, designing and developing solutions, debugging and analysis, testing components/models, and pushing tested modules to a version‑controlled environment such as GitHub.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to deeply understand their use‑cases, pain points, and requirements, showcasing empathy and advocating for user‑centric software solutions
• Solve complex problems by designing, developing, and delivering solutions using various tools, languages, frameworks, methodologies (e.g., agile), and technologies
• Assess the requirements of the software application or service and determine the most suitable technology stack, integration method, deployment strategy, etc.
• Create high‑level software architecture designs outlining the overall structure, components, and interfaces of the application
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as product owners, designers, architects, etc.
• Define and implement software test strategy, guidelines, policies, and processes in line with organizational vision, industry regulations, and market best practices
• Continuously improve performance and optimize the application, implementing new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• Apply programming practices such as test‑driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
• Support security practices to safeguard user data, including encryption and anonymization
• Create user‑friendly and interactive interfaces
• Develop and maintain back‑end applications such as APIs and microservices using server‑side languages
• Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies and capabilities to deliver solutions, monitoring and participating in new technology stacks, often involving industry collaboration

Experience Required

• 5+ years of experience utilizing Java full‑stack to design scalable web applications leveraging microservices architecture and APIGEE/RESTful APIs
• 3+ years of experience utilizing Angular to create user‑friendly front‑end and enable real‑time data updates in the web application user interface
• Minimum 5+ years of SQL/Oracle database experience or PostgreSQL
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) development (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, GCS Bucket) and deployment experience
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Strong functional, integration, and regression testing skills, both manual and automated
• Experience working with complex SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data in relational databases
• Familiarity with GitHub or equivalent source control repositories
• Experience with test‑driven development practices
• Experience troubleshooting application and performance issues
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi‑task and manage changing priorities
• Ability to work independently and take initiative when facing unexpected problems

Experience Preferred
