Job summary

FastTek Global in Dearborn, Michigan is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to propulsion-focused, in-house CAD/CAE apps. You will apply OOP concepts with Java and Angular, build APIs, and implement automated tests while pushing changes to GitHub.

Responsibilities include collaborating with customers to define requirements, designing scalable solutions, assessing technology stacks, and delivering high-quality software aligned with agile practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience using Java full-stack to design scalable web apps with microservices.
• 3+ years of Angular experience for real-time UI updates.
• 5+ years of SQL/Oracle or PostgreSQL database experience.
• GCP development and deployment (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, GCS).
• Experience with test-driven development and GitHub-based workflows.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand use-cases, pain points, and requirements.
• Design, develop, and deliver solutions using diverse tools and technologies.
• Determine suitable tech stack, deployment strategy, and integration approach.
• Create high-level software architecture designs and component interfaces.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and architects.
• Define and implement software test strategy and processes.
