Aquent is seeking a Software Engineer in Austin to design, develop, and optimize software that connects to manufacturing production lines and propulsion systems. You will contribute to both front-end and back-end development, leveraging React, Java Springboot, and PostgreSQL, with emphasis on AI coding and containerization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5-7 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and software design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, test, and maintain software including major enhancements to existing systems.
• Fine-tune and optimize a variety of software implementation projects.
• Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions.
• Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications.
• Implement system software and customize to client requirements.
• Prepare detailed software specifications and test plans.
• Code new programs to specifications and create test data for testing.
• Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing.
• Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation.
• Perform quality assurance reviews.
• Post-implementation validation and bug resolution.
