Job summary

Advanced Manufacturing Company of America in El Segundo seeks a Junior Propulsion Component Engineer to support the design and development of propulsion hardware under the guidance of senior engineers.

You will build CAD models, perform basic flow and sizing calculations, assist CFD studies, draft interface and data documents, and partner with test and manufacturing teams to grow as an independent contributor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• 0–2 years of engineering experience.
• Fundamentals of fluid dynamics, hydraulics, or pneumatics.
• 3D CAD proficiency (Creo/SolidWorks/NX) and understanding of GD&T.
• Strong analytical skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Design support of propulsion components and assemblies under senior engineers.
• Build CAD models and detailed drawings, applying GD&T under review.
• Perform hand calculations and basic analysis for flow, pressure drop, and sizing.
• Assist with analytical and CFD studies and draft portions of requirements documents.
