Job summary

HTC Global Services is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Dearborn, MI to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Java/J2EE and Angular-based applications on Google Cloud Platform. You will build microservices, APIs, and web interfaces, focusing on secure, scalable solutions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure high-quality code through TDD and CI/CD, and drive architectural decisions while adopting new technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years of IT experience.
• 6+ years in software development.
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE and Angular.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Cloud Run.
• Experience with SQL and BigQuery.
• Experience building microservices.
• Knowledge of architecture, integration, testing, deployment and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with Agile, TDD, CI/CD and secure data handling.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand use cases and requirements.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and services.
• Develop and maintain microservices, APIs, back-end applications, and interfaces.
• Design software architecture, components, interfaces, and integrations.
• Evaluate tech stacks and deployment strategies per requirements.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and engineers to deliver production-ready solutions.
• Define and implement testing strategies, guidelines, and processes.
• Apply best practices including TDD, CI/CD, Agile, and software craftsmanship.
• Troubleshoot performance issues in cloud environments.
• Manage environments, databases, configuration, and security.
