Job summary

TYLin International is seeking an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)/Signal System Design Engineer to shape mobility. You will design and integrate transportation technologies to improve safety and efficiency, working with multidisciplinary teams across planning, design, and operations.

The role is based in the DC metropolitan area with a hybrid work option. Qualifications include a Civil/Electrical/Systems Engineering degree and 5–10 years of ITS/ATMS experience; PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.
• 5–10 years ITS/ATMS and signal design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Familiarity with FHWA Systems Engineering processes.
• Willingness to travel for projects and client needs.

Responsibilities

• Contribute technical expertise on ITS, ATMS, signal systems.
• Develop design plans, specs, and system engineering docs.
• Support planning efforts like master plans and ops concepts.
• Conduct field work, equipment testing, and verification.
• Prepare signal design plans and interconnects in AutoCAD/Microstation.
• Assist with proposals, marketing, and industry events.
