Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Senior ITS Engineer to lead ITS design across multiple mid-Atlantic projects from Fairfax, VA and other listed offices. You will manage vehicles detection systems, dynamic signs, toll facilities, and CAV integration within a large traffic engineering team.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in ITS/traffic engineering, PE license, and strong communication skills. The role offers flexible hours and potential telework, with opportunities for project and client management growth.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license required.
• Minimum 10 years of ITS design and traffic engineering experience.
• VDOT/MDOT/design-build experience preferred.
• MicroStation experience required.
• Project management and leadership skills preferred.
• Ability to develop new business.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform various ITS-related tasks on projects.
• Lead and mentor a group of traffic engineers.
• Collaborate with roadway, structures, hydraulics, and environmental groups.
• Prepare scopes of work, schedules, and fee proposals.
• Meet with clients and participate in business development.
