Job summary

Ardurra seeks a Senior ITS Engineer – Intelligent Transportation Systems to join our Transportation Team in Florida with work across Orlando, Tampa, or Miami. The senior specialist will design, analyze, and develop ITS for transportation infrastructure, focusing on traffic management, communications, and monitoring technologies.

The candidate should have extensive ITS design experience, strong FDOT standards knowledge, and the ability to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Professional Engineer license in Florida or ability to obtain within 6 months.
7–10+ years of ITS design experience on transportation projects.
Experience with FDOT standards and ITS field devices.

Responsibilities

Lead and perform technical design of ITS for FDOT, municipal, and other projects.
Develop engineering plans, specs, calculations, quantities, and cost estimates for ITS.
Design ITS components including CCTV, DMS, vehicle detection, and field devices.
Develop fiber-optic networks, telecom infrastructure, cabinets, and ITS connectivity.
Support ATMS, TMCs, and other transportation technology applications.
Provide QA/QC of ITS design plans and engineering deliverables.
