Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a Senior Highway Engineer to join our Transportation team across our Florida offices in Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Tallahassee, or West Palm Beach. The role focuses on delivering complex transportation design projects from contract plans to cost estimates.

The candidate will supervise engineering design tasks, lead project delivery, and liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure high-quality, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering required.
• 10+ years of post-licensure transportation design experience.
• Proficient in Microstation and OpenRoads Designer; ability to supervise.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Experience preparing final design plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills.
• Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs process design of multi-discipline transportation engineering projects, evaluating alternatives, studies and design calculations.
• Provides technical expertise to ensure compliance with design intent and standards.
• Develops contract plans and prepares technical specifications and cost estimates.
• Assists with project scope, budget, and schedule.
• Oversees day-to-day activities and coordination of engineers, designers, and technicians.
• Performs quality control on design outputs (calculations, models, drawings, reports).
• Assists with marketing and business development efforts.
• Communicates with clients, discipline leads, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and utilities.
