Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a Senior Highway Engineer to join our Transportation team in Florida offices (Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Tallahassee, or West Palm Beach). The successful candidate will lead roadway design efforts, develop contract plans, specifications and estimates, and supervise engineers, designers, and technicians on diverse projects.

Requirements include a BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, 10+ years of transportation design experience, and proficiency with MicroStation

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years post-licensure experience in transportation design.
• Proficient in MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer; able to train and supervise.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Experience preparing final design plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills.
• Strong analytical, time management and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver multi-discipline transportation projects; evaluate alternatives.
• Ensure design intent meets project scope and standards.
• Develop contract plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Support project scope, budget, and schedule.
• Coordinate engineers, designers, technicians on projects.
• Perform quality control on design products.
• Assist with marketing and business development.
• Coordinate with clients, leads, sub consultants, regulators, utilities.
