Job summary

HTC Global Services seeks a Senior IT Technical Writer to strengthen cybersecurity and operations documentation. You will collaborate with IT leaders and SMEs to convert complex knowledge into durable, usable documentation for daily operations, incidents, recovery, and knowledge transfer.

This onsite role emphasizes Microsoft 365, Word, SharePoint, Visio, and collaboration across infrastructure, applications, and security teams to maintain standards, templates, and lifecycle of documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional technical-writing experience for complex IT environments.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.
• Strong Microsoft Visio skills for diagrams.
• Experience creating SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
• Ability to translate technical concepts for technical and operational audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional technical documentation using standardized templates and conventions.
• Create SOPs, runbooks, operational procedures, system documentation, infrastructure documentation, and knowledge-base articles.
• Develop incident-response, disaster-recovery, business-continuity, restoration, and recovery documentation with SMEs and leadership.
• Interview SMEs and translate complex technical information into clear documentation for technical and operational audiences.
• Create and maintain technical diagrams, workflows, and supporting visuals using Microsoft Visio.
• Use Microsoft 365 tools extensively (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Apply consistent terminology, formatting, metadata, and review dates across documents.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to convert discovery outputs into finished documentation.
• Conduct reviews with SMEs and ensure technical accuracy for publication.
• Establish and improve reusable templates and lifecycle practices.
