Job summary

Solairus Aviation, Inc. is seeking an IT Network and Infrastructure Security Specialist to administer and secure the company’s network, servers, and Microsoft cloud environments. The role emphasizes hands-on security, zero-trust, and strong incident response capabilities.

The position is hybrid with four days in the Petaluma office and one day remote, requiring collaboration across IT, cloud, and security teams to safeguard systems and support security initiatives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of systems administration experience, including 3+ years in a senior/lead role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune in a cloud-first environment.
• Experience with Azure IaaS including VMs, VNets, storage, and RBAC.
• Experience with SSO/federation via Okta or similar, and conditional access design.
• Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell).
• Experience with remote monitoring and management platforms (RMM) and MDM (Workspace ONE).
• Backup/recovery exposure with Druva or Veeam; disaster recovery planning.
• Knowledge of EDR tools, firewalls, email security, and incident response.
• Strong documentation skills to create SOPs and change records.

Responsibilities

• Administration and maintenance of network, servers, and cloud infrastructure.
• Security tool management including Okta, MDM, NinjaOne, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
• Support incident response, containment, remediation, and recovery actions.
• Maintain endpoint security policies, MFA, and identity governance settings.
• Perform vulnerability scans, system hardening, and remediation of weaknesses.
• Ensure zero-trust and secure access across environments.
• Collaborate with SOC/MDR partners on detection and mitigation.
• Provide infrastructure health and security posture reporting.
