Job summary

Redwood Credit Union is seeking an IT Specialist III to lead technical operations, ensuring confidentiality, availability and integrity of computing systems. The role requires A+ and MCP certifications and provides second-tier support for desktop and network equipment.

The candidate will manage server/virtualized environments, perform system reviews, and advise IT management on improvements. A strong customer-service focus aligns with RCU values and the ability to travel 20% and work Saturdays

Qualifications

A+ and MCP certifications required.
Network+ certification or demonstrated knowledge in listed technologies.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols, server hardware and software.
Ability to travel 20% and work Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain and follow department operations for server and virtualized systems, network, storage, backup, and phone environments.
Provide advanced end user support and guidance to other technical staff on end user issues.
Respond to and document requests for technology assistance via phone, verbal, or e-mail.
Research, install, update, maintain and retire new hardware and software solutions.
Plan effective preventative maintenance with peers and maintain asset inventories.
Train with vendors and mentor staff on technical advances.
