Job summary

Obsidian Security is hiring a Staff IT Systems Engineer to own identity, endpoint, and IT platform foundations, and to operate them as code. You will integrate HR events into Okta, manage device fleets, and keep configurations version-controlled via GitHub and IaC tools.

You will lead the standard for AI-assisted operations, ensure secure, scalable IT, and collaborate with Security, DevOps, HR, and Finance to align IT priorities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building and operating IT systems or platform infrastructure.
• Deep hands-on Okta ownership across SSO, MFA, lifecycle management, and governance.
• Experience with Jamf Pro for managing a production Mac fleet.
• Infrastructure-as-code ownership with Terraform or OpenTofu in production.
• Daily use of AI coding tools to ship production work.
• Strong written and verbal communication for engineers and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the identity foundation and lifecycle orchestration from HR to Okta and applications.
• Operate IT as code with policy, groups, and governance in GitHub and Google Cloud.
• Define AI-augmented operations standards and gate changes with humans in the loop.
• Automate and harden the device fleet and access policies across platforms.
• Set standards for the IT function and align with security, compliance, and platform decisions.
