Job summary

Justworks is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer in New York City to own the technical design and operations of our core enterprise platforms such as Atlassian Jira/Confluence, Google Workspace, and Slack. You will champion AI-enabled velocity and manage a broad SaaS ecosystem while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in IT systems engineering or equivalent role.
• Hands-on admin/architecture for Okta, Jira, Confluence, Google Workspace, and Slack.
• Experience with SaaS management platforms to optimize licenses and visibility.
• Familiar with AI-enabled tools to boost engineering velocity and automation.
• Comfort supporting IAM and lifecycle workflows; mentor junior engineers.
• Ability to manage a broad SaaS ecosystem (30+ tools) and adapt quickly.

Responsibilities

• Architect and administer core enterprise platforms (Jira, Confluence, Google Workspace, Slack).
• Lead technical strategy for SaaS adoption and AI-native capabilities.
• Maintain 30+ SaaS tools using SMPs; optimize licenses and security.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive knowledge sharing.
• Document processes and build source of truth for supported apps.
