Job summary

Tines is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to design, build, and improve internal systems that scale with a growing business. You will own automation, integrations, and enterprise platform improvements, partnering with IT Operations to reduce manual work and deliver durable solutions.

Reporting to the Boston-area IT Manager, this US-based role prefers candidates in the Eastern Time Zone for close collaboration.

Qualifications

Eight or more years of IT systems engineering experience or equivalent senior ownership.
Hands-on admin across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Jira, AWS.
Experience building automated workflows and integrations via APIs or scripting.
Strong troubleshooting using logs and CLI to fix complex issues.
Solid security mindset: access controls, testing, change management, and rollback.
Ability to deliver technical projects independently with clear communication.

Responsibilities

Own administration and improvement of enterprise platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, AWS).
Design, build, test, and maintain automated workflows and integrations.
Collaborate with IT Operations to resolve escalations with scalable fixes.
Lead systems projects from requirements to rollout and handoff.
Work with Security and stakeholders to ensure secure use of enterprise tech.
Contribute to processes and docs supporting future federal environment needs.
