Job summary

Tines is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to design, build, and improve internal systems, automations, and integrations that scale securely across the company. You will own enterprise platforms, drive automation initiatives, and partner with IT Operations and Security to turn complex issues into durable solutions.

This US-based role favors candidates in the Eastern Time Zone and offers growth opportunities. Target Annual Compensation: Base salary of up to $145,000 + equity.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of relevant IT systems engineering experience or equivalent senior-level ownership.
• Hands-on administration across multiple enterprise platforms (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Jira, AWS, identity providers).
• Experience building and maintaining automated workflows, integrations, or self-service solutions using APIs or scripting.
• Strong troubleshooting using logs and command-line tools to identify root causes and implement durable improvements.
• Sound judgment on access controls, data security, testing, change management, and rollback.
• Experience delivering technical projects independently while balancing priorities and communicating with engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the administration and improvement of enterprise platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, AWS) and review configurations for security and usability.
• Design, build, test, and maintain automated workflows and integrations to reduce manual work and enable self-service.
• Investigate escalations with IT Operations to replace recurring issues with scalable improvements.
• Lead systems engineering projects from requirements gathering to rollout, monitoring, and handoff.
• Collaborate with Security, Internal Automation, and business stakeholders to support secure enterprise tech use.
• Contribute to systems and documentation to support future Federal environment requirements as the program evolves.
