Job summary

Tines is seeking a Senior Security Operations Engineer to advance our cloud security program in the United States. You will lead security projects, review incidents, and mature controls while coordinating with engineering and security teams.

You will implement automated detections, perform on-call incident response, and help shape security training. This role emphasizes hands-on security in AWS/Azure, container tech, and threat hunting.

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years in a security role managing complex cloud environments.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills.
• Deep familiarity with cloud security in AWS or Azure, including deployment, management, and monitoring.
• Experience securing containers (Docker, AWS ECS, Kubernetes).
• Experience with AWS security tools such as CloudTrail, GuardDuty, CloudWatch, Security Hub, Inspector, Config.
• Experience implementing controls for SOC2, ISO, CMMC, and FedRamp.
• Experience automating security tasks with SOAR tools or Python/Go.
• Knowledge of command-line, log analysis, common attacks, and OS hardening for Linux/macOS.
• On-call rotation experience in fast-paced environments.
• Strong analytical and time-management skills and ability to work autonomously or with peers.

Responsibilities

• Drive security projects that facilitate the business function and protect our customers, brand, and employees.
• Review security trends and incidents and implement controls to prevent recurrence.
• Perform security reviews of infrastructure and product features to maintain high standards.
• Update policies and procedures to sustain security posture at Tines.
• Scale detection and response capabilities across environments and systems.
• Coordinate vulnerability remediation with engineering, infra, and security teams.
• Assist with security training to keep employees updated on threats.
• Act as escalation point for automated detections requiring human review.
• Proactively hunt for threats across our environment.
• Perform on-call duties, including incident commander responsibilities.
• Ensure security controls are deployed and tested across cloud environments and endpoints.
• Automate security tasks using Tines where possible.
