Job summary

Klaviyo is seeking a Senior SWE to join the Data Automation team and help design, build, and maintain mission-critical analytics infrastructure powering our real-time data platform on AWS. You will work with a cross-functional team to write design docs, implement scalable systems, and mentor junior engineers.

You’ll contribute across tech stack including Terraform, Python, Kubernetes, and data processing frameworks, while collaborating on high-impact projects with strong growth opportunities in

Qualifications

• BA or BS Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in a software engineering discipline.
• Highly skilled in using at least one modern programming language.
• Experience provisioning infrastructure using Terraform or a similar infrastructure as code tool.
• Experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems in a cloud computing environment.
• Experience using Linux operating systems.
• Experience with OLTP and OLAP databases.
• Experience with high volume data processing and storage systems.
• Able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
• Able to work with others on a team.
• Able to learn continuously and adapt to a high growth environment.
• Able to stick with and solve difficult problems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain analytics infrastructure powering core Klaviyo functionality.
• Write technical design documents and build system infrastructure.
• Review designs and code; mentor other engineers on the team.
