Job summary

The role combines hands-on development with strategic systems analysis, using AI-assisted tools, SQL, and AWS to modernize operations and drive value.

You will lead projects across their full lifecycle, manage vendors, translate business needs into technical specs, and communicate risks to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT-related experience including systems analysis, application delivery, business analysis, or project management.
• Strong SQL skills, data modeling, data validation, and reporting.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, Replit).
• Experience coordinating third-party vendors or development partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Oil & Gas operations experience is a differentiator.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Upstream (Operations) and IT to understand workflows and priorities.
• Envision, design, and deliver value-adding IT solutions (automation, data accuracy, controls).
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate development and prototype solutions.
• Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and data models.
• Modernize cloud-based platforms (AWS) to improve reliability and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead projects through full lifecycle, managing scope, schedule, and budget.
