Job summary

Hilcorp seeks an experienced IT Applications and Data professional to partner with Upstream operations and IT. You will design, build, and deliver custom solutions using AI-assisted development, SQL, and AWS to modernize operations and drive business value.

You will manage full project lifecycles, coordinate vendors, and ensure solutions meet acceptance criteria while communicating progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Anchorage-based, full-time role.

Qualifications

Five or more years in Information Technology, with systems analysis, application delivery, or project management.
Strong SQL skills for data modeling, validation, and reporting.
Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery.
Experience coordinating third‑party vendors or development partners.
Excellent verbal and written communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Partner with Upstream and IT to capture needs and design custom IT solutions.
Envision and deliver IT solutions that automate and improve data accuracy and controls.
Use AI-assisted tools to prototype and accelerate development cycles.
Write and optimize SQL queries and data integrations for reporting.
Leverage AWS and cloud platforms to modernize the application portfolio.
Manage project lifecycle from conception to deployment with stakeholders.
Coordinate third‑party vendors and validate delivered solutions.
Document technical specs and maintain ongoing improvements based on feedback.
