Job summary
Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative (SMECO) is seeking a Senior Technical Analyst - System Administrator to manage and support SMECO's IT networks and systems. You will troubleshoot complex issues, coordinate with programmers, vendors, and internal teams, and help implement secure, reliable technology solutions.
The ideal candidate has four years of progressive IT experience, strong security mindset, and thrives in a regulated environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science; experience may substitute.
- Minimum four years progressive experience in network operations, configuration and project management.
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in regulated environments with cybersecurity/risk management valued.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support IT networks and systems with minimal supervision.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and implement long-term solutions.
- Coordinate with IT programmers on application and system projects.
- Work with vendors, contractors and internal teams to evaluate and implement systems.
- Assist with IT help desk operations and risk management procedures.
