Job summary

Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative (SMECO) is seeking an Associate Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) Engineer to support ADMS operations within Distribution Operations. You will help develop and maintain ADMS processes, ensuring OMS/SCADA configurations align with SMECO procedures.

The candidate should have strong analytical and technical skills, familiarity with NEC/NESC concepts, and the ability to progress toward a Senior Associate ADMS Engineer role with experience.

Qualifications

• BS degree in electrical engineering from ABET-accredited program required.
• FE or Engineer-in-Training certification desired.
• Knowledge of NEC, NESC and electric utility operations preferred.
• Ability to perform the duties of Associate Distribution System Operator within 2 years.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
• Experience with OMS/ADMS/SCADA and supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage operation and administration of the ADMS for Distribution Operations.
• Assist with developing and maintaining ADMS processes and procedures.
• Coordinate SCADA data integrity, modeling, display and integration for Distribution Operations.
• Assist in maintaining the Cooperative's GIS related to Distribution Operations and ADMS.
• Develop and maintain daily operations logs, major outage reports, and monthly reliability indices.
