Job summary

Kraken Kinetics in Pinehurst, NC is hiring a Systems Administrator to own day-to-day IT infrastructure, hardware provisioning, and the first on-site server environment. You’ll work with cybersecurity and the Help Desk Lead to align security configurations and end-user support.

Responsibilities include provisioning endpoints, managing network gear, and maintaining asset records while enabling ERP/MRP/IMS integrations as the company grows.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of professional IT systems administration experience.
• Hands-on with Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization.
• Experience managing network hardware and VPN access.
• Experience with endpoint management across Windows, macOS, and iOS.
• Familiar with Microsoft 365 (GCC or GCC High) and coordinating with MSP/ security providers.
• Strong documentation and asset management discipline.

Responsibilities

• Own and administer IT hardware, network systems, and on-premises server infrastructure.
• Provision and manage endpoints across Windows, macOS, and iOS.
• Administer network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, VPN).
• Stand up and maintain on-premises server environments (Windows Server, AD, virtualization).
• Provision new hires: accounts, hardware, system access.
• Maintain the IT asset registry and baselines.
• Support ERP/MRP/IMS integrations as the company grows.
• Coordinate with Cybersecurity & Compliance Manager and MSP for security configurations.
• Serve as Tier 3 escalation for Help Desk issues.
• Recommend infrastructure improvements and standards.
