Job summary

Cambrex Corp. in High Point, NC seeks a Network Systems Administrator to design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure across U.S. sites and occasionally global initiatives. You will work with internal IT teams, MSPs, and vendors to ensure reliable, secure network operations.

Responsibilities include designing LAN/WAN, routing and switching, network security controls, AD/DNS/DHCP, and cybersecurity incident response. Onsite role with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, routing, and switching.
• Experience with enterprise networking technologies (Cisco or equivalent).
• Familiar with network troubleshooting tools and methodologies.
• Experience with wireless networking technologies.
• Experience with SD-WAN solutions is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server and VMware virtualization.
• Experience with documentation (Knowledge Article development/upkeep).
• Familiar with ITSM tools and incident/change management procedures.
• AD/Group Policy Management and ADUC experience.
• Azure experience, especially hybrid environments, is a plus.
• Understanding of network security principles and firewalls/VPNs.

Responsibilities

• Support design, deployment, and enhancement of LAN/WAN infrastructure.
• Contribute to network-related projects across U.S. sites and global initiatives.
• Collaborate with global teams to standardize network architecture and best practices.
• Assist in routing, switching, segmentation, and WAN/SD-WAN connectivity tasks.
• Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
• Provide support for network incidents and connectivity issues.
• Maintain and update network configurations and documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors for troubleshooting and implementation support.
• Act as local escalation point when required.
• Support core services: AD, DNS, DHCP; monitor and patch infrastructure.
