Job summary

Nextpower in Nashville, TN is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to design, manage, and secure enterprise infrastructure across Windows, Linux, cloud, and virtualization. You will partner with cybersecurity, networking, and application teams to maintain reliable systems, automate routine tasks with PowerShell, Bash, or Python, and lead modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of enterprise systems administration experience.
• Strong experience administering Windows Server environments.
• Working knowledge of Linux administration (Red Hat, Rocky, Ubuntu, or similar).
• Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments across on-premises and cloud-hosted infrastructure.
• Support virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V.
• Manage DNS, DHCP, AD, Entra ID, and identity platforms; support Microsoft 365 services.
• Contribute to security, patch management, and compliance initiatives.
• Lead automation, documentation, and collaboration with IT teams.
